Richard Zimmerman Outstanding Young Credit Union Leader Memorial AwardThe Richard Zimmerman Outstanding Young Credit Union Leader Memorial Award is presented to recognize the accomplishments of young people who have made significant contributions to the support and promotion of the credit union idea. The recipient of the Award will be announced at the Kentucky Credit Union League’s Annual Meeting Banquet. ELIGIBILITYThe nominee must be A. Under age 35 as of date award is to be announced. B. A professional staff person or volunteer of a League-affiliated credit union at the time of nomination; and; C. Must have at least two years experience in Kentucky at the time of nomination. Employees of the Kentucky Credit Union League and its subsidiaries are not eligible. NOMINATION PROCEDURESAny official or employee of a League-affiliated credit union may nominate any professional or volunteer of a League-affiliated credit union. Nominations of another may be made without regard to chapter boundaries. The person making the nomination and the nominee need not be affiliated with the same credit union. Nominations may be made without regard to chapter boundaries. To make a nomination for the Richard Zimmerman Outstanding Young Credit Union Leader Award, complete the Nomination and Biographical Form. The nomination process will be transparent, and it is recommended that the person making the nomination collaborate with the nominee in the submission process to ensure accurate and detailed information. Additional pages may be sent in if necessary. Self-nominations will not be considered. If no candidate meets the criteria, a winner will not be selected. The winner will be notified within 30 days of the annual meeting. Submit the Nomination Form NO LATER THAN JUNE 7, 2024. CRITERIAA special committee, appointed by the Chair of the League Board, shall judge the nominees for the Richard Zimmerman Outstanding Young Credit Union Leader Memorial Award and make selection based on the following criteria: I. Significant Accomplishments for Credit Union - Recognizes a significant contribution to the nominee’s own credit union. This could include, for example: II. Significant Accomplishments for the Movement - Recognizes a significant contribution on the chapter, state and/or national level. III. Significant Personal Accomplishments - Recognizes a significant personal contribution to the credit union movement. This could be extraordinary public service, elected, appointed or volunteer, to state government, community or civic organizations; or significant professional development. SUBMIT A NOMINATION |
